Project: Waste no Chance! – Enhancing Employability and Labor Rights of Roma Waste Collectors

After the project “Waste no Chance! – Improving the Employability and Labor Rights of Roma Waste Collectors” was presented to the public in September, concrete activities followed, the first of which seminar on “Association and Trade Union Action”, gathered in Bar 20 beneficiaries of the project.

The Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro participates as a partner to the NGO Young Roma on the project “Waste no Chance! – Improving the Employability and Labor Rights of Roma Waste Collectors”. The project is funded by the European Commission and aims to contribute to inclusion and better working conditions for Roma waste collectors in the municipalities of Herceg Novi, Tivat, Kotor and Budva. The project offers sustainable solutions and institutional mechanisms for the organization of persons in this activity. The specific objective of the project is to improve the labor rights and productivity of Roma and non-Roma collectors of secondary raw materials through capacity building and networking.
