NGO Young Roma and the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro are organising a press conference on the occasion of presenting the project “United we reach more – Voice to students, support to workers!”.
The conference will be held on Thursday, 20 September 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the premises of EU Info Centre.
The conference aims at familiarising the public with the goals, activities and expected results of the project which is being implemented from 1 May 2018 to 31 December 2019. The project objectives are to improve students’ participation in shaping the political and public life of Montenegro, as well as to ensure the protection of the economic and social rights of Roma and non-Roma workers in utility companies through the establishment of efficient institutional mechanisms for trade union activism.
The panelists are:
- Samir Jaha, Executive Director of NGO Young Roma
- Mladenka Tešić, Programme Manager for Human Rights and Democratisation at the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro
- Srđa Keković, Secretary General of the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro
The event will gather representatives of public administration bodies, civil society, international organisations and the media.
The project is funded by the European Union within the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
